Ambitious But Rubbish

This blog is all about cars and the world’s foremost motoring television program, Top Gear. From the first time I caught a glimpse of the now-famous BBC show I knew that I’d found something worth keeping a television around for. “Ambitious but rubbish” and “that’s not gone well” are two oft-used phrases in a show that’s known around the world for its rather mad experiments with cars, which have so far included such gems as turning a people-carrier (minivan) into a convertible and turning three cars into boats not once, but twice, and then crossing the English Channel with one of them.

But this site isn’t all about 3 British blokes power-sliding around their own custom-built test track in the world’s fastest and most desirable cars — you’ll also find here car reviews, motoring discussion with a distinctive Montreal point of view, and links to other car-related stories.

About the main heading picture — yes I know, Top Gear is mostly filmed not in London, but in nearby Guildford. That being said I wanted a sunny picture for it but GIS for “sunny guildford” didn’t turn up much of anything, so London it is…
